\nVictorias Coliseum buzzed with anticipation as business owners and entrepreneurs gathered for
\nthe “DigiCities Masterclass,” a key event under USAID’s SPEED
\n(Strengthening Private Enterprises for the Digital Economy) initiative,
\ncoinciding with World MSME Day. This global observance, designated by the
\nUnited Nations, celebrates the crucial role of micro, small, and medium-sized
\nenterprises (MSMEs) in achieving sustainable development and promoting
\ninnovation.<\/p>\n

The event began at 8:30 AM with registration and concluded in the afternoon with a
\nclosing message and a photo opportunity. Atty. Gino Jacinto, COO of UNAWA,
\ncaptivated the audience with his presentation, “From Ink to Click: The
\nDigital Signature Advantage for Small Businesses.” This session
\nhighlighted the innovative features of UNAWA\u2019s SignSecure platform, which
\nuniquely integrates facial recognition into its e-signature process, ensuring
\nenhanced security and compliance. Atty. Jacinto emphasized the efficiency,
\nfaster processes, improved compliance, and cost savings that digital
\ntransitions offer, aligning with UNAWA\u2019s mission to support SMEs in their
\ndigital transformation journey.<\/p>\n
The event, powered by GCash for Business and delivered by StartUp Village,
\nincluded various insightful sessions. The event flow began with a
\nwelcome message and an introduction to the USAID SPEED Activity, followed by
\nsessions on adopting a growth mindset through digitization, leveraging
\neCommerce for business growth, the advantages of digital signatures, and
\nimproving logistics to bridge borders. Representatives from Prosperna,
