\nin the Singapore Health & Biomedical Congress (SHBC) 2025, one of Asia’s
\nmost influential gatherings of healthcare professionals, innovators, and
\nresearchers. The event served as a premier platform for leaders shaping the
\nfuture of healthcare innovation. Alex Gu, the founder and Chief Executive
\nOfficer of Fourier, was invited to deliver keynote titled “Disruptive
\nby Design: A Visionary Engineering the Future of Healthcare.” <\/b>Gracing
\nthe opening ceremony was Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of
\nHealth & Ministry of Manpower. <\/b><\/p>\n
In
\nhis session, Gu explored how purposeful engineering and innovation are
\nreshaping rehabilitation and healthcare delivery. Drawing on Fourier’s
\npioneering advancements in intelligent rehabilitation robotics, he elaborated
\non how technology\u2014when designed with human needs at its core\u2014can drive
\ntransformative improvements in patient outcomes and clinical efficiency. He emphasized that guided
\nby the concept of\u00a0human-centric embodied AI, Fourier\u2019s long-term strategy
\nfocuses on advancing robotics across four key real-world
\nscenarios:\u00a0commercial services, rehabilitation and wellness care, academic
\nresearch and education, and industrial efficiency.<\/p>\n
At
\nSHBC 2025, Fourier showcased the GR-2 humanoid robot from its advanced robotics
\nportfolio. During live demonstrations, attendees witnessed firsthand how it can
\nbe integrated into clinical workflows, equipping therapists with powerful tools
\nto personalize rehabilitation programs. It highlighted Fourier\u2019s participation
\nin a pilot project driven by NHG Health and Injewelme, exploring how the
\nhumanoid robot can be integrated with a Remote Photoplethysmography (rPPG) for
\nfuture use. <\/p>\n
Another highlight that drew
\nsignificant attention during the event is
\nFourier’s newly debuted “Embodied Intelligence Rehabilitation Hub,\u201d which
\ncenters on the GRx series humanoid robots. This concept integrates multimodal
\nperception, large language models, motion control technology, and healthcare scenario
\nrequirements to form a cutting-edge robotic rehabilitation solution. <\/p>\n
It
\nfeatures five major training modules: guidance and consultation, upper limb
\nrehabilitation, cognitive rehabilitation, lower limb rehabilitation, and remote
\nrehabilitation, offering an integrated approach to rehabilitation training,
\nassistive care, and emotional companionship. The Embodied Intelligence
\nRehabilitation Hub aims to create a more attentive, intelligent, and efficient
\nrehabilitation training experience.<\/p>\n
