\nsupport the entire learner lifecycle, today announced the University of the Visayas, a province-wide
\nsystem of higher education in the Philippines, has selected Blackboard Learn Ultra as its new learning
\nmanagement system (LMS). Known for innovative student programs, the University

The University of the Visayas conducted a thorough competitive
\nreview, including a pilot subscription from another vendor as a potential replacement for their current system.\u00a0However, they concluded the piloted product was not as
\nuser-friendly as anticipated and lacked the local support they needed. <\/p>\n
They expanded their competitive review to include Blackboard by
\nAnthology. Thirty department heads from the University of Visayas attended a
\nBlackboard Learn workshop, where they got first-hand experience using its
\nindustry-leading features like the AI Design Assistant.<\/p>\n
“The feedback from the attending department heads was resounding,\u201d said

The University selected Blackboard as their new LMS and it will
\nreplace their current platform.<\/p>\n
The academic
\ninstitution will also implement Anthology\u2019s digital content accessibility solution
\n(Ally) with Blackboard Learn, supporting their commitment to accessibility and
\ncreating an inclusive environment for
\neveryone. Ally provides digital course content in multiple formats and
\nlanguages, a feature that is imperative to delivering an inclusive student
\nexperience. <\/p>\n
