This<br \/>\neducational and commemorative journey is a key component of their module<br \/>\nrequirement and aligns perfectly with Melaka&#8217;s role as the official host city<br \/>\nfor this year&#8217;s international WTD events.<\/p>\n<p>The 2025 World Tourism Day theme, <b>\u201cTourism and<br \/>\nSustainable Transformation,\u201d<\/b> serves as the inspiration for this trip,<br \/>\nemphasising the vital role of the tourism sector in driving positive change,<br \/>\nfostering resilience, and promoting inclusivity.<\/p>\n<p><b>A Focus on Industry and Education<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This exclusive trip is designed to bridge the gap between<br \/>\nacademic learning and real-world industry experience. A total of <b>25<br \/>\nparticipants<\/b> joined the itinerary, comprising students from the <b>School<br \/>\nof Hospitality and Tourism<\/b> and esteemed <b>PATA Members<\/b>. This mix of<br \/>\naspiring professionals and seasoned industry experts will provide a rich<br \/>\nenvironment for networking and knowledge exchange.<\/p>\n<p>The full-day itinerary immersed participants in Melaka&#8217;s<br \/>\nvibrant cultural and historical tapestry. On the day, the group focused on<br \/>\nexperiencing Melaka&#8217;s unique position as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which<br \/>\nperfectly showcased the integration of sustainability and cultural preservation<br \/>\nin tourism.<\/p>\n<p>The group started the trip with a flavourful day of learning<br \/>\nat the Melaka International Halal Festival (MIHF &#8217;25)! Soaking up the culture<br \/>\nand seeing the global side of the halal industry with the best crew. Who doesn\u2019t<br \/>\nlove educational trips that involve food?<\/p>\n<p>Next, the SHT team and students enjoyed a scenic cruise<br \/>\nalong the historic Melaka River, demonstrating how responsible development has<br \/>\ntransformed the waterway into a key tourism asset.<\/p>\n<p>After a relaxing cruise, the team celebrated World Tourism<br \/>\nDay 2025 in the heart of history \u2014 Malacca! From heritage streets to vibrant<br \/>\ncultures, every corner tells a story.
