The prestigious international exhibition was inaugurated by David Bahati, Hon\u2019ble Minister of State for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives (Industry), Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, Government of Uganda.<br \/>\nThe inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of leading government officials, industry leaders, business associations, exhibitors, and international delegates from various countries participating in the three-day exhibition.<br \/>\nDistinguished guests present during the inauguration ceremony included Kiara Binta Nkuranga, Hon\u2019ble President, Uganda National Association of Builders, Suppliers and Engineering Contractors (UNABSEC); Nambooze Maliam, Board Member, Women in Construction &amp; Infrastructure Uganda (WICI); Jason Yu, Representative, Felicity Solar; Mansi Gaur, Max Group Spokesperson, Max Group; Ezira Muhumuza, Executive Director, Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA); Rajesh Kumar, Hon\u2019ble Chairman, India Business Forum Uganda; Yogender Singh, Second Secretary (Political\/Education\/Commerce), High Commission of India, Kampala; and Trushar Upadhyay, Hon. Advisor in Uganda of FICCI &amp; Sr Advisor, Construct Uganda and Power Energy and Solar Uganda Expo.<br \/>\nIn his welcome address, Trushar Upadhyay highlighted that Uganda today stands at a remarkable stage of economic transformation, with strong focus on infrastructure development, housing, urbanization, industrialization, energy access, and sustainable growth creating significant opportunities for businesses and investors globally. He stated that Uganda\u2019s construction sector continues to play a critical role in national economic development through investments in roads, commercial buildings, industrial parks, housing projects, airports, and energy infrastructure.<br \/>\nHe further emphasized that the increasing demand for reliable and sustainable energy solutions is creating major opportunities in solar energy, electrical systems, energy storage, transmission technologies, EV solutions, and smart infrastructure. He noted that the co-located exhibitions have been organized with the vision of bringing together the construction, power, energy, and solar sectors under one roof to create a strong platform for business networking, technology exchange, investments, partnerships, and industry collaboration. Over the next three days, the Expo will witness participation from leading manufacturers, suppliers, technology providers, consultants, engineers, contractors, developers, renewable energy experts, and policymakers from multiple countries.<br \/>\nDuring his address, Rajesh Kumar spoke about the vast business opportunities in Uganda\u2019s power, energy, and solar sectors. He highlighted that Uganda\u2019s energy sector offers tremendous growth potential driven by an under-developed rural grid, rising demand for electrification, and abundant year-round sunshine. He pointed out the growing demand for hybrid off-grid systems for schools, hospitals, and rural institutions, while also noting the Government of Uganda\u2019s continued support for renewable energy development through favorable policies, including VAT exemptions on qualifying solar products.<br \/>\nHe further emphasized that Uganda offers strong investment opportunities supported by a rapidly growing economy, liberalized foreign exchange policies, strategic regional trade access, abundant natural resources, and a young, trainable English-speaking workforce. He described Uganda as a strategic gateway to both the East African Community (EAC) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), offering investors access to over 1.4 billion consumers across Africa. He concluded by describing Uganda\u2019s success mantra as the \u201cThree Ps\u201d \u2014 Peace, Prosperity, and Profit.<br \/>\nMansi Gaur, Max Group Spokesperson, stated that Uganda is witnessing remarkable growth in construction, urban development, industrialization, and energy expansion. She mentioned that as the country continues to invest heavily in infrastructure, housing, commercial projects, and sustainable energy solutions, platforms such as this Expo play a vital role in connecting businesses, manufacturers, technology providers, investors, and decision-makers.<br \/>\nShe further stated that Max Hardware and Tools Ltd Uganda strongly believes that quality products, innovation, and reliable partnerships form the foundation of successful construction and infrastructure projects. She noted that the company remains committed to supporting Uganda\u2019s growing construction sector by providing trusted hardware solutions, tools, building materials, and professional support to contractors, developers, engineers, and businesses across the country.<br \/>\nNambooze Maliam, Board Member of Women in Construction &amp; Infrastructure Uganda (WICI), welcomed exhibitors and delegates from the various participating nations. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of inclusive participation in the construction and infrastructure sectors, stating that meaningful national development cannot be achieved when a significant portion of the population remains underrepresented in key sectors of the economy.<br \/>\nShe highlighted the important role played by Women in Construction &amp; Infrastructure Uganda in increasing women\u2019s participation within the sector and contributing towards a more balanced and inclusive economy. She further stated that quality infrastructure development positively impacts various sectors including tourism, agriculture, trade, and healthcare, all of which depend on strong infrastructure systems such as roads, hospitals, and public facilities.
