Singapore as a Hub Linking International
\nCapital with the ASEAN Market<\/b><\/p>\n
One of SIT’s main objectives in visiting
\nSingapore was to help startups connect with resources and networks in the ASEAN
\nmarket. This year, SIT teamed up with the Taiwan Stock Exchange and AppWorks to
\nco-host \u201cIPO in TAIWAN: Why It Matters to Southeast Asia,\u201d illustrating to
\ninvestors and established startups how Taiwan’s capital market can serve as an
\nemerging fundraising channel for the ASEAN ecosystem.<\/p>\n
At this year\u2019s SWITCH, all 24 participating
\nstartups achieved noteworthy outcomes. FunNow, a lifestyle booking platform,
\ngained rapid popularity in Singapore and partnered with prestigious brands like
\nthe Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel and the Fullerton Hotel. DottedSign, an
\ne-signature solution from KDAN, offers businesses a professional, flexible, and
\nsecure online signing experience. KDAN, recognized in the Financial Times\u2019 list
\nof Asia-Pacific High-Growth Companies 500, continues to expand its reach in
\nSoutheast Asia following the establishment of its Singapore office.<\/p>\n
AIRA, specializing in AI technology,
\nsuccessfully entered the Singapore market by signing a distribution agreement
\nwith Evvolabs and deploying cross-camera tracking solutions at Singapore
\nAirport. FREE Bionics, which focuses on advanced exoskeleton technology,
\nrecently secured $15 million in a Series B funding round led by Wistron,
\nJapan\u2019s USCI, and Taiwan\u2019s National Development Fund (NDF). They plan to expand
\ntheir rehabilitation technology to more Southeast Asian markets.<\/p>\n
\nThe SIT (Startups Island Taiwan) also invited the United Innovation Accelerator
\nto lead three startups to exhibit together: ARK Group, toii gama, and aiFREE.
\nEach showcased innovative solutions in their respective fields\u2014ARK Group in
\ncultural technology, toii gama in developing immersive experience content using
\nIP, and aiFREE in AIoT technology for elderly care. They explored potential
\ncollaborations with various partners, including potential investors and
\npartners for expansion in Singapore, paving the way for further cross-border
\ncollaboration and industry development.<\/p>\n
Startup Island TAIWAN, supported by the National
\nDevelopment Council, showcases Taiwan\u2019s innovation globally. SWITCH, a key
\nglobal innovation platform, draws startups, investors, and leaders from various
\nsectors. With strong financial resources, talent, and a business-friendly
\nenvironment, Singapore is a prime entry point to the ASEAN market. United
\nInnovation attended SWITCH and expects to boost Taiwan-Singapore startup
\nexchanges, expand networks, foster business and funding collaborations, and
