MEDIA INVITE: Meet the founders shaping South West Sydney’s future

South West Sydney’s next generation of entrepreneurs will take the stage in front of high-profile government and industry leaders at Pitch Night South West in Bankstown tonight.

From AI tools that help protect academic integrity to virtual mental health clinics, dementia support technology and smart water treatment systems, this year’s finalists are applying innovation to solve real-world challenges.

Now in its third year, the event hosted by UNSW Founders, offers a platform for emerging entrepreneurs to showcase their ventures while competing for a share in prize funding to help accelerate their startups.

UNSW Vice-President, Societal Impact, Equity & Engagement, Professor Verity Firth AM, said Pitch Night was a celebration of the depth of entrepreneurial talent emerging across the region.

“Pitch Night South West is an inspiring initiative that creates opportunities for emerging founders to transform their ideas into meaningful ventures,” Prof. Firth said. “As Australia’s most entrepreneurial university, UNSW is proud to build the pathways for bold ideas to grow into successful businesses with real community impact.”
